Personalized Support
One primary contact, a Client Service Representative (CSR), helps you resolve all of our HR issues. Your CSR will be available to you on-site or by phone at anytime. Your CSR is a professional at managing employee needs and will ensure that you remain in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations. Your CSR will provide you with you with information on issues such as wrongful termination and sexual harassment and make sure that you are in compliance with the Family Medical Leave Act and COBRA.

Human Resources Solutions
In addition to our payroll solutions, ESG offers the following HR services:

  • Assist with implementing a progressive discipline policy to reduce possible
    legal exposure and/or unemployment
  • Assist with proper hiring, firing and appropriate disciplinary actions to reduce
    legal exposure
  • Assist in compliance with federal and state employment regulations (e.g. Wage
    and Hour, Family and Medical Leave)
  • Assist with internal investigations (e.g. harassment, employee theft)
  • Assist in developing job descriptions and performance management systems
  • Consult and advise on policies and procedures (e.g. drug and alcohol testing,
    harassment, vacation, PTO, email and Internet usage)
  • Personalize an on-site introduction to ESG for employees as well as an
    introduction and review of a customized employee orientation handbook

  • Respond to requests and verification of employment information
  • Assist with Employer defense of unemployment through preparation of testimony and documentation for hearing

Unemployment Compensation/Claims Administration

  • Process and file responses to claims
  • Help prepare client in contesting unnecessary claims
  • Maintain records on separation issues
  • Provide customized reports
  • Act as “Employer of Record” with signed Power of Attorney (POA)

  • Offer benefits that include but are not limited to: Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Group Term Life, Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Savings Accounts, Supplemental Insurance (including Disability), Section 125, Employee Assistance Program and Wellness Programs

  • Track employee eligibility
  • Provide on-site orientation to explain employee benefit plans

  • Administer COBRA for enrolled employees
  • Assist and guide employees with a variety of benefit situations
  • Handle compliance with various benefit laws

Workers' Compensation/Claims Administration

  • Provide claims administration
  • Coordinate bills
  • Handle inquires
  • Maintain files
  • Monitor claims
  • Establish light duty and return to work programs
  • Assist in minimizing loss time exposure
  • Investigate for potential fraudulent claims
  • Process premium payment on a per payroll basis
  • Educate on how to look for "red flags"
  • Provide monthly customized reports including loss runs when requested

  • Provide prevention seminars, worksite consultations and other training customized to your industry
  • Maintain OSHA logs
  • Provide technical resources with all safety aspects
  • Provide inspections of work environment to help prevent employee injury
  • Provide safety/risk management and client services such as:

    ◊ Fire prevention and disaster evacuation plans
    ◊ Injury reduction plans
    ◊ Safety committees
    ◊ Physical hazards awareness
